Performance & Feel

The NXT V2 follows on from the NXT V1 and keeps the Aluula frame that sets it apart from the standard SlingWing. The leading edge is slimmer, tapering from the centre to the tips, which cuts drag when you're foiling upwind or luffing the wing on a wave. It's stiff through the centre and softer towards the wingtips, so the front of the canopy stays rigid to give power when you want it while the tips twist to handle gusts.

The centre strut is now made in segments, which lets Slingshot hold the canopy closer to its intended profile, and the two handles have gone in favour of the single boom. Slingshot call this their lightest wing yet. When flying, it accelerates cleanly, carries speed through turns and holds a strong upwind angle, with power that builds smoothly so it stays manageable when you're powered up.

A rigid handle on the leading edge gives you more leverage over the wing when it's flagged out, which helps on swell and downwind runs. If you want the lightest, most direct SlingWing for riding waves, jumping and covering ground, the Slingshot SlingWing NXT V2 is the one for you.
