Our Test Team Thoughts
"The Navigator Pro is the premium bar from North's kite range, with all the safety features you'd expect. It'll fly any other brand's four-line kite too. The Pro version is 20% lighter but at the same time 20% stronger than the standard Navigator bar. The Pro bar uses SK99 Pro lines, which are thinner but stronger than the standard lines. It also features ceramic bearings in its swivel system, built into the quick release which North market as their auto Unwind System we like the feel of the bar and the texture of the EVA."
Performance & Feel
The Navigator Pro is North's top-tier control bar, built for riders who want the most refined, most dependable connection to their kite available. It's universally compatible thanks to a Low-V split that works with most other brands' kites. Two bar lengths, 45-50cm and 50-55cm, cover freeride through to big air sizing.
The standout feature is auto-unwind: the front lines untwist themselves as you ride, so you're not stopping mid-session to sort out a twisted centre lines, particularly useful in big air and looping. The moulded one-piece bar with an internal truss structure keeps the build light and strong, and the grip compound is lab-tested to be 3.5x more abrasion-resistant than standard EVA, holding up to hard use session after session. The quick release has been refined for safety too: a firmer bungee and a longer travel distance before release cut down on accidental activation.
