Performance & Feel

The construction is the starting point. The V-Tech mould presses uni and bi-directional carbon into a full wood core.  Uni-directional carbon runs lengthways for stiffness under load and bi-directional carbon adds torsional rigidity and impact resistance. The result is a board stiff enough to translate foil input directly and accurately, light enough not to penalise you when it's in your hands on the beach, and durable enough to survive the touchdowns that come with learning.

Stiffness is the non-negotiable on a foil board. When you're on foil every weight shift communicates through the board to the mast and foil below you. A board that flexes absorbs that signal. The Jackson doesn't flex, which means what you feel through your feet is what the foil is actually doing and that's what our test team mean when they talk about the feedback from the foil underneath you.

The three sizes: The 140cm suits riders who are new to foiling or heavier riders who want maximum stability.  The 128cm is the core intermediate to advanced size, works strapped or strapless and the 112cm is the minimalist option for experienced riders who want the smallest, lightest deck possible and want something that packs easily for travel.
