Ozone Code V4 Kiteboard

The Ozone Code V4 is a twin tip built to feel at home flat water, chop or waves, it carries the same dependable base and outline as its predecessors.

  • Freeride, big air, freestyle and unhooked tricks
  • Hybrid biax fibreglass and unidirectional carbon construction
  • Double concave base blending into tri-spine tip channels
  • Medium flex rocker for controlled landings
  • Suits all levels beyond complete beginners

Our Test Team Thoughts

"A really fun board to ride that most kiters would get on well with. Jump it, trick on it, have fun on it. The only rider it's not suited to would be beginners who'd be better off on the Ozone Base or its replacement, the Ozone Element board."

Performance & Feel

The Code has been Ozone's all-round performance twin tip since the first version, and the V4 keeps that reputation by building on that.  What's inside is where the board has changed.  An extra layer of unidirectional fibreglass now sits over the unidirectional carbon strip set through the centre of the board, stiffening that section without changing  the flex at the tips. The result is a board that holds its rocker through the loading of a jump's but is still great at absorbing landings.

The base does the rest of the work. A double concave shape blends into tri-spine channels at the tips, giving grip and upwind edging through the water. Swallow-shaped tips hold an edge confidently while keeping a margin of give, so carving stays smooth rather than slippy in rough water. It's a board that suits cruising and freeride sessions just as well as it does big air days, which is the point of the all-rounder positioning.

Six sizes cover the range for all riders and the board ships as deck, fins and grab handle, with pads and straps sold separately so you can match them to your stance and feel.

Key Features

  • Hybrid biax fibreglass and unidirectional carbon layup: an added layer of unidirectional fibreglass over the carbon strip through the centre adds stiffness for jumps without sacrificing flex at the tips
  • Double concave to tri-spine base: blends smooth carving with strong upwind edging and grip
  • Swallow-shaped tips: confident edge hold with stability, without feeling locked onto a single rail line
  • Medium flex and rocker: absorbs and controls landings across freeride and big air riding
