Performance & Feel

The Air Team sits at the top of the Air line, and most of what separates it from the standard Air is the construction. The Ho'okipa Ultra PE airframe uses a woven structure reinforced with Ultra PE fibre, which Airush rate at around ten times the strength of dacron for its weight. That tensile strength lets the leading edge and strut take significantly higher pressures at a smaller diameter, so the frame stays rigid and sleek where Dacron would flex. On the water that gives a wing that feels planted and direct when you load it up, holding its shape and allowing you to push harder whatever your doing.

The Ultra X canopy keeps the wing taut and responsive, and extends the life of the wing. A medium canopy tension gives consistent power delivery and steady lift through tacks and gybes, while the slight dihedral in the leading edge holds it stable when flagged out. As well as this the team has a reduced-diameter leading edge cutting drag once flagged and letting you cut a higher angle of attack upwind.

The Modular Handle System takes soft or hard handles to let you tune your ride. Shipped as standard with Airush's carbon pre-preg handles which are stiff, light and finished with a textured grip for control in the wet. The light weight handles helps the wing float neutral when you set it down the line, which is ideal when surfing or linking bumps on a downwinder. The strut shape is designed to angle the handles for a more ergonomic feel. Alowing you to ride longer with less fatigue.

This is a wing built for an experienced rider who’ll access the performance and love it. Buil for freestyle, wave and downwind sessions where you dont want the wing to hold you back in any way.
