Performance & Feel

The Space Agency sits at the top of Reedin's twintip range and the difference is immediately felt. Where the KevPro uses a Paulownia core with carbon stringers for a quick, snappy response, the Space Agency goes full carbon throughout and the result is a board that reacts faster, stores more energy through edge load and releases it more explosively off the water. That's what carbon does that fibreglass can't match: a livelier, more direct connection between rider input and board response.

Reedin's Space Exploration Technology stacks in three types of carbon. 12K carbon on the deck and bottom gives a fast, compression response and stands up to hard use. 3K carbon through the centre provides the right balance of flex, stretch resistance and durability where the board takes the most load. Unidirectional carbon stringers run lengthwise and resist buckling under the extension and compression forces of loaded take-offs. Cross-placed stringers handle torsion across the full width. The cored-out core removes material wherever it isn't structurally needed, keeping the frame strong and the weight as low as possible. For 2026 Reedin refined the construction further to bring the weight down again — already the lightest board in the range, it's now lighter still.
