Performance & Feel

The Flux V3 keeps the Flux V2's planform but redesigns the centre profiles for far more consistent front hand lift, giving you a solid, reassuring pressure through your front hand at speed and through every manoeuvre. The Flux V3 resists front stalling during tacks and gybes. With that extra stability locked in, Ozone dramatically reduced profile thickness, especially towards the tips, opening up a new level of freeride freedom without sacrificing the durability of a Dacron airframe. Ozone drew heavily on testing of the Fusion V3 double-surface wing translating double-surface speed thinking into a single-skin Dacron build that doesn't compromise on long-term performance.

Canopy construction runs a strategic mix of Teijin ripstop: 5x5 across the majority of the canopy for strength and minimal diagonal stretch, and 3x3 on the front panels to fine-tune flex and load distribution where the wing takes the most pressure, keeping the canopy tight and the profile true to spec even after heavy use. Ozone's new Boom System delivers a highly responsive, zero-movement connection between you and the wing, and a stiffer leading edge handle, from the design of the Flow V2, gives total control when the wing is flagged out when you're on a wave. Anti-flap batten pockets cut trailing edge flutter, and wide-view windows help you spot other riders or hazards downwind and ahead of you.

The V3 gives a broader wind range with more drive at the bottom end making pumping easier in light winds, while refined leading edge geometry keeps the wing stable as the wind picks up. It's a wing that comes alive with speed, built to take advantage of the high apparent wind effect you only get by going fast, and pairs best with fast foil setups. Compared with the Flow V2, the longer planform gives the Flux V3 greater top speed and more top-end control, in a lock-and-load, speed-machine style of ride, where the Flow stays more playful and forgiving, with more low-end grunt and swept tips that are easier to keep clear of the water. Five sizes, 3m through to 5.7m, are built for intermediate riders and above who want real speed and freeride fluidity without fragility.
