At 6/5mm there's enough neoprene to hold real warmth through a winter session, the time of year when some might not be keen to get cold feet!  They come in at a budget-friendly price too, with the same good fit and sharp-ground protection any boot needs to earn its place. If you ride in cool rather than properly cold water, the 3/2 version is the one to look at.
