Performance & Feel

The Phazer has always been built around versatility without compromise, and the V4 builds on that. The carving surf outline and thick profile pack a lot of float into a short length, keeping swing weight low so the board pumps and turns with ease. The key shape changes from V3 to V4 are in the rocker and tail. The narrower tail and increased tuck lengthen the effective waterline, improving glide in a way that's noticeable as you gain speed and get onto foil. More nose kick stops the board pearling on touchdown and it recovers cleanly, a welcome change across the size range. The flat tail rocker does two jobs: it gets you onto foil with ease and keeps the foil locked at 90 degrees in flight, so trim stays balanced and predictable without adjustment after take-off.

The Active Carbon construction is tried and tested in the AK range: full biaxial carbon top deck over a fused EPS core, wood sandwich in the standing areas for stiffness underfoot, and a heavy-duty high-density load plate carrying the foil load directly to the deck. Stiff, light, and direct.

Size is everything with the Phazer. The small sizes, 30L to 46L, are firmly for experienced foilers: low volume, high performance. The mid sizes, 55L to 90L, are the performance sweet spot across disciplines, enough volume to be practical and compact enough to reward precise riding. The larger sizes, 110L and 140L, open the range up to newer riders who want the Phazer's shape and construction, and ease onto foil beautifully as a first foiling board.
