Airush Apex V9 Team Twintip Kiteboard

The Airush Apex V9 Team is the top-tier build of Airush's all-rounder twintip, tuned for the rider chasing the max from the Apex platform. Same shape and versatility across freeride and big air, ridden with straps or boots, but stiffer, lighter and more explosive off the water than the standard V9 Apex.

  • Freeride and big air twintip for straps or boots
  • Carbon Basalt laminate over a Paulownia wood core
  • Double concave with centre spine and channelled bottom
  • ABS reinforced rails and inserts
  • Sharper response, harder pop, soft landings
  • Intermediate to advanced riders

Performance & Feel

The Team takes the same Apex V9 shape and puts it on Airush's premium construction. Where the standard Apex uses a double basalt laminate, the Team layers carbon into the mix. Carbon adds stiffness and drops weight over basalt alone, and that's where the Team gets its extra pop, sharper response and lighter overall feel. Paulownia wood stays at the heart of the layup for the same direct feel underfoot and plush ride the Apex platform is known for. Airush's Big Air team helped shape this build, and the result is a twintip that reacts faster to smaller inputs and stays composed when you're really pushing.

Underneath, it's the same Apex shape that makes the standard V9 so versatile: double concave with a solid centre spine for grip and softer landings, channels along the rail for grip and upwind drive, and deeper concave contours through the tips for takeoff bite. The Team keeps all of that intact and lays a stiffer, lighter build on top. Landings still feel soft, thanks to the shape and the wood core absorbing the impact, but the response through the water and off it is noticeably sharper.

Four sizes cover the range from lighter to heavier riders, and like the standard Apex it takes straps or boots. Straps for playful freeride with sharper pop, boots when you want to lock in and start pushing serious unhooked tricks or big air with more control. The board ships as board, fins and handle, with pads or boots sold separately so you can dial in the setup that suits you.

Key Features

  • Carbon Basalt laminate: a hybrid layup with a carbon layer over the basalt, adding stiffness and dropping weight for faster response through load and release
  • Paulownia wood core: direct, plush feel underfoot with the comfort the Apex platform has always delivered
  • Double concave with centre spine: clean grip and softer landings, with the spine reducing impact on touchdown
  • Channelled bottom with deep tip contours: locks in grip when you're loading the edge and grips harder at takeoff
  • ABS reinforced rails and inserts: takes hard landings and tough sessions
  • Straps or boots compatibility: ride freeride with pads and straps, or lock in with boots for freestyle and big air
