Airush Apex V9 Twintip Kiteboard

The Airush Apex V9 is Airush's all-rounder twintip, built for the rider who wants one board across freeride, hooked jumps and Big Air as well as unhooked freestyle and can be ridden with straps or locked into boots. Whichever way you choose to ride it, the Apex stays comfortable underfoot, grippy on its edges and quick to release when you load it up. If you're pushing at the top end of your riding and want more stiffness and pop, the Apex Team V9 sits above this one with it's lighter carbon-reinforced construction.

  • Freeride and big air twintip for straps or boots
  • Double basalt fibre laminate over a Paulownia wood core
  • Double concave with centre spine and channelled bottom
  • ABS reinforced rails and inserts
  • Explosive pop, grippy edging, soft landings
  • Intermediate to advanced riders

Performance & Feel

The V9 gives the Apex an all-new construction and a refined shape. The biggest change from V8 is the double basalt fibre laminate which reduces weight and sharpens the boards responsiveness. Load and release for a jump and the pop feels more explosive and the board reacts faster when you shift your weight. Still with a Paulownia wood core at the heart of the layup for direct feel underfoot and the plush, comfortable ride the Apex has always been known for. ABS reinforced rails and inserts sit on top of that, so the board takes hard landings and crashes.

The base is where the Apex holds its edge. A double concave shape with a solid centre spine gives clean grip and softens the impact on touchdown, while the channelled bottom locks you in when you're loading the edge for a jump or riding fast upwind. The concave contours run extra deep through the tips for grip at takeoff, the moment when you need it most. Ride it hooked or unhooked, powered or overpowered; the Apex holds its line and pops when you ask for it.

What makes the Apex a genuine all-rounder is that it can be ridden with straps or boots without compromising either. Straps for playful freeride sessions and predictable pop, boots when you want to lock in and start pushing unhooked tricks or big air with more control. Four sizes cover the range from lighter through to heavier riders.  The board ships as board, fins and handle, with pads or boots sold separately so you can dial in the setup that suits you.

Key Features

  • Double basalt fibre laminate: reduces weight and increases responsiveness, giving faster reflex on load and release
  • Paulownia wood core: direct, plush feel underfoot with the comfort and durability that has always defined the Apex
  • Double concave with centre spine: clean grip and softer landings, with the spine reducing impact on touchdown
  • Channelled bottom with deep tip contours: locks in grip when you're loading the edge and grips harder at takeoff
  • ABS reinforced rails and inserts: takes hard landings and rough sessions without pulling inserts or damaging the rails
  • Straps or boots compatibility: ride freeride with pads and straps, or lock in with boots for freestyle and big air
