Airush Freewing Air V3 Wing

The Airush Freewing Air V3 is the all-rounder in the FreeWing range. The taught canopy holds power steady and sits stable the moment you flag it out. The high-pressure airframe keeps everything stiff as you pump and build speed and it's at home cruising, carving, freestyling or heading out on a downwinder.

  • All-round freeride, freestyle and downwind
  • High-pressure airframe, extra stiff
  • Medium aspect with short strut
  • Firm canopy tension
  • Compact and manoeuvrable
  • Wide wind range per size
  • For intermediate and progressing riders

Performance & Feel

The Air V3 feels compact and solid in the hands, which is what makes it handle well through tacks and gybes. The medium aspect ratio and short strut concentrate the power close to you so the wing follows your hands quickly and the tips stay clear of the water when you're moving it around. Flag it out and it settles and the slightly dihedral shape in the leading edge holds stability.

The wing is designed with what Airush call a stiff frame and a seam construction lets the leading edge and strut take much higher pressures.  A tapered centre strut meets the leading edge on a wide, strong base. Together they stop the airframe flexing under load, so pumping onto foil is efficient and the wing holds its shape as you accelerate. The thin leading edge and slim wingtips cut drag once you're flagged, which shows up as a smoother glide and a wing that stays out of your way at speed.

A firm canopy tension is the other half of the story and the canopy generates real stability and lift. Three mini battens in the trailing edge keep airflow releasing cleanly. Kevlar reinforcement at the handle mounts, wingtips and leading edge seams puts strength where best needed and the PU windows sit where you actually need to be looking.

The strut shape means the back handle doesn't need to be drawn in close, so you can ride with a more extended, relaxed arm. On a long session that's the difference between packing up early and staying out.

Key Features

  • Innovative seam construction: tolerates higher PSI in the leading edge and strut for a stiffer, more responsive airframe
  • Optimised geometry: medium aspect ratio with a short strut for compact, balanced power and quicker handling through tacks and gybes
  • Firm canopy tension: consistent power delivery, strong flagged-out stability and a wide wind range, with more lift through manoeuvres
  • Large centre strut connection: tapered strut with a wide, strong base for a stiffer airframe, more efficient pumping and better acceleration
  • Narow leading edge: reduced diameter for more speed, stability and manoeuvrability
  • Drag reduction wingtips: slim optimised tips for less drag and a smoother glide when flagged out
  • Optimised dihedral: leading-edge dihedral holds power while adding flagged-out stability
  • Comfort strut shape: offset strut with a parallel hand position and a more extended arm position for less fatigue
  • Stiff and responsive front handle: for control you need when the wing is flagged out
  • Lightweight mini battens: three battens in the trailing edge for clean, efficient airflow release
  • Kevlar reinforcement: placed at handle mounts, wingtips and leading edge seams for durability
  • PU windows: positioned for clear vision
  • Size-specific leash: matched to strut length so it stays clear in a wipeout
