Moving from straps to boots changes how the board feels under you completely. The Reefer locks your feet to the twintip, so the load you put through your legs goes straight into the board. That direct connection is what makes hard, unhooked wakestyle riding work: you can load the kite, pop, and trust your feet to stay exactly where they are while you stick the landing. The Direct Drive base plate keeps that connection solid and light, while the Heel Lock holds your heel down so there's no movement inside the boot.

The flexible PU chassis lets the board flex naturally underfoot, and the memory foam lining and dual-density footbed keep you comfortable through long sessions. Worth noting, boots commit you to the board in a way straps don't, so you lose the easy bail-out but gain massive amounts of control and performance. If you're into wakestyle and looking to dial it up, the Reefer is a great choice.
