A waist harness lives or dies on whether it stays put. The Team holds its shape through the moulded shell and vertical lumbar battens, which stiffen it up and down while leaving you free to rotate through the middle. The load of the kite spreads across your lower back instead of concentrating into a narrow band, so you can stay powered up longer before your back starts telling you about it. The 3D moulded inner and outer construction curves to the body rather than sitting flat against it, and the ergonomic load plate carries the pull without hard seam lines digging in.

The dual stage belt is the part worth understanding. There's a primary belt with a secondary one over the top, and you can run both for a locked-in, heavily supported fit, or bypass the secondary altogether if you'd rather have something lighter and freer. It's a genuinely useful bit of adjustment, letting you set the harness up one way for a loose wave session and another for a powered-up blast. At the front, the T-Lock spreader bar uses a compact hook with a rotating clip that holds it in place, so you're not slipping out of the hook by accident when the kite goes slack.

Worth being straight about where this one sits. The Team is a previous-generation harness now on clearance, so you're getting a well-built, supportive waist harness at a fraction of what a current model costs. If you want the newest thing, look elsewhere in the harness section. If you want plenty of support for not much money, this is a lot of harness for the price.
