Axis Fireball Front Wing

The Axis Fireball Front Wing is built to make chasing down a bump, running with a swell or pumping back onto the foil after a touchdown easier at speed. It refuses to stall where most high aspect foils would have dropped out long ago, holding lift and carry deep into the low end thanks to a high-lift, low-drag foil section and stiff UHM carbon construction. It's one of Axis's highest-performance wings, yet stays genuinely easy to ride, and despite a smaller surface area than you'd expect, the range on offer is serious. Born for efficiency and downwind, it's just as at home winging or pumping, wherever covering ground with ease matters.

  • High aspect downwind and all-round performance wing
  • UHM carbon construction
  • Pairs best with the Short Advance+ or Ultrashort Advance+ fuselage
  • Pairs with Axis Skinny rear wings
  • Intermediate riders and above

Performance & Feel

Lift and carry are the Fireball's defining traits. It holds on rather than stalling out where other foils would have dropped, getting you flying earlier and with less effort, and touchdowns are easy to pump straight out of rather than something to fear. The increased camber helps the low-end lift further and smooths out the stall, while the straight median line and stiff UHM carbon construction keep that performance consistent from tip to tip.

On the wing, tip breach is predictable and easy to manage, and the Fireball handles disturbed, choppy water with more composure than a typical high aspect foil, making it as suited to winging in stronger conditions as it is to downwind runs. Pumping is a strength too, staying efficient enough that you can recover height and keep the foil flying with relatively little effort. The larger 1500 and 1750 sizes hold incredible pumping performance, but must be paired with the Fatty mast and fuse.

Fireball was designed with downwind racing in mind, but it's more versatile than that suggests. It sits between the Axis ART Pro and ART V2: a wider speed range and more glide than the ART Pro while being noticeably easier to ride, and a slightly more locked-in roll than the ART V2 with better glide and carry for a more roll-friendly, unbroken wave.

Key Features

  • UHM Carbon Construction: stiff, high-aspect build that holds its shape from tip to tip
  • High-Lift, Low-Drag Foil Section: strong lift and carry with a forgiving, gradual stall
  • Straight Median Line Design: consistent thickest-point profile across the span for even performance
  • Efficient, Reduced-Area Design: lets you ride a smaller wing size than usual without losing speed or range
