Getting the size right matters more with a beginner package than almost anywhere else in foiling: too small and you'll struggle to get up at all, too big and you'll be overpowered and hard to control. The SES range accounts for this with weight-led sizing rather than one-size-fits-all:

• SES 840 (1334cm²): children or riders under 70kg, or heavier riders in medium to high wind or bigger surf
• SES 940 (1668cm²): riders under 80kg, or heavier riders in medium to high wind or bigger surf
• SES 1040 (1957cm²): riders 80kg and over, or light wind and small surf conditions

Once you're up, the SES has easy turning and smooth control, carried over from Axis's proven BSC line, making it a forgiving foil to build confidence on. It's particularly well suited to wing foiling, but also holds up well for wake, SUP, prone surfing and pump or dock starting, so it's a super versatile first foil rather than a narrow, one-discipline starter set.

The system is modular too, so as your skills move on you can upgrade the front wing, rear wing or mast length individually rather than needing to replace the whole setup, giving you a clear, affordable progression route within the Axis ecosystem. Worth noting that as you move into Axis's performance-oriented gear, you'll need to change to the slimmer, more efficient Black fuselage.
