Axis Frank Mini Dart Foilboard

The Axis Frank Mini Dart Foilboard is a mid-length shaped by Francesco Maffei of Frank Foilboards, Axis's second collaboration with Frank after the success of the Mako downwind board. It's built with parawinging in mind, but it brings just as much to your wing and prone foiling. A fast rocker line makes take-offs effortless even in marginal conditions, and the bottom shape shifts from a displacement hull under the nose to flat through the mid and tail, so the board accelerates, releases and rebounds off the water cleanly.

  • Parawinging, wing foiling and prone foiling
  • Fast rocker line for effortless take-offs in marginal conditions
  • Displacement hull nose blending into a flat mid-to-tail section
  • Wider tail for stability and planing surface
  • Extra front-end length and volume for pumping without burying the nose
  • Concave deck for a locked-in feel
  • Full carbon construction
  • Intermediate and above

Performance & Feel

Like the Dart, the Frank Mini Dart carries a wider tail for extra stability and a broader planing surface to build speed. The added length and volume up front let you pump the board across the water to build forward momentum without burying the nose, a huge advantage for parawinging, where pumping into a take-off is make-or-break, and it helps in prone too, making the paddle out to the line-up and catching waves easier.

The concave deck adds responsiveness and a locked-in feel underfoot, so big turns come with real control even at high speed. Full carbon construction keeps the board light and stiff. Worth noting a cool feature is every Frank board is hand-finished, so no two boards carry quite the same look or finish.

Across parawinging, wing foiling or prone, the Frank Mini Dart is built to handle a wide set of conditions without asking you to compromise on any one discipline.

Key Features

  • Rocker line: fast profile for effortless take-offs, even in marginal conditions
  • Bottom shape: displacement hull in the nose transitioning to flat through the mid-to-tail section, for acceleration, release and rebound off the water
  • Tail design: wider tail for stability and an increased planing surface to generate speed
  • Front-end volume: added length and volume forward, allowing the board to be pumped without burying the nose
  • Concave deck: added responsiveness and a locked-in feel for confident carving and high-speed control
  • Full carbon construction: lightweight, stiff build for buoyancy and responsive flight
  • Hand-finished: each board individually finished, so no two are exactly alike
