Smaller sizes in the range are fast with explosive turning, rewarding a more committed rider, while the larger sizes are built for smaller swells, bigger riders and early intermediates, trading some of that speed for easier, more forgiving handling. The largest size in the range steps this further with a slightly increased camber for extra lift: it lifts up easily, feels balanced and comfortable straight away, and recovers from breaches and tip-outs quickly and predictably, all while still turning smoothly.

That largest size also makes a genuinely approachable entry into downwind riding. It doesn't need to run as fast as the bigger ART Pro or Fireball sizes to stay on the bump, so staying connected to the swell feels far less demanding, and turning and control remain impressive for a wing of its size. As a dock and pump wing it's easy and forgiving to start yet still surprisingly nimble, and in light wind it makes a strong choice for wingfoiling and small, weak-wave SUP sessions. For wake foiling it handles anything from the first wake to the tenth, making it a solid go-to for bigger riders in particular.

If outright wave performance is the priority, the newer Axis Surge has stepped in as the dedicated surf specialist. The Spitfire's lower aspect ratio keeps it more forgiving in comparison, which makes it the easier, more approachable route into wave riding, particularly for entry-level riders still building confidence across disciplines.
