Duotone Blitz D/LAB Wing Set

The Duotone Blitz D/LAB Wing Set pairs the Blitz D/LAB Front Wing with Duotone's R190 Stabiliser, built specifically to match it. It's a freerace foil first and foremost, at home chasing personal bests or covering distance efficiently. It's also forgiving, so intermediates chasing speed can get a lot out of this foil too.

  • Freerace and high-speed foiling
  • D/LAB High Modulus Carbon front wing, thin low-drag integrated construction
  • R190 Stabiliser, purpose-built to match the Blitz
  • Gullwing curvature for stability under load
  • Reinforced 3BS+ connection: four-bolt link to the D/LAB tail
  • Advanced riders and speed-focused intermediates

Our Test Team Thoughts

"The Blitz D/LAB is properly fast without giving up control. The first time one of our team rode it they came back in and said it didn't feel that fast. Then they checked my tracking watch. They were surprised how fast they'd been riding. The control at speed, especially when paired with the 47cm fuse and R190, makes going fast so easy. But remember the 4th screw, this also plays a big part in keeping everything tight and locked in when pushing it."

Performance & Feel

The Blitz's defining trait is how comfortable it feels at speed, largely down to how locked-in the whole setup is. D/LAB construction and a thin, low-drag profile let it accelerate cleanly and hold the top end without losing control. That control and grip carries into everything else it does. It still turns, but not in a surfy way: more arcing turns with little yaw, which is where the R190 really earns its place, vertical winglets at the wingtips lock the yaw down further at high speed, while its own low-drag profile holds pitch stability rather than fighting the front wing for control.

It stays settled and holds its line right at the edge of what it can do, thanks to a gullwing curvature through the span. Everything stays tight exactly where a standard connection would start to give, down to the reinforced 3BS+ connection to the D/LAB tail with its fourth M6 screw beyond the standard three-bolt setup. Shims let you fine-tune the setup further: more experienced riders can run the R190's negative 0.3° or 0.6° shims to reduce angle of attack and trim drag to a minimum, particularly alongside the 47cm tail and that fourth screw.

  • 550: race-focused, built purely for outright speed
  • 800: very similar in feel to the 550, but generates more speed for the same effort, so it suits lighter wind, upwind riding, or heavier riders

Key Features

  • D/LAB High Modulus Carbon Construction: high modulus carbon layup balances stiffness with responsiveness, keeping energy transfer efficient at speed
  • Thin, Low-Drag Profile: minimises resistance for effortless acceleration and sustained top-end speed
  • Gullwing Curvature: adds control and balance when you're pushing the limits, rather than trading stability for speed
  • Reinforced 3BS+ Connection: a fourth M6 screw at the D/LAB tail link prevents bending at extreme speed, only available when paired with the D/LAB tail
  • R190 Stabiliser: vertical winglets lock yaw at high speed, with a low-drag profile that holds pitch stability
  • Shim Compatible: fine-tune angle of attack with the R190's negative 0.3° or 0.6° shims (sold separately)
