F-One Frigate V2 Parawing

The F-One Frigate V2 Parawing is F-One's new "pocket wing", designed to get you ride upwind fast so you can ride downwind and enjoy the bumps, swell and waves.

The F-One Frigate V2 turns a long downwind run into something you can just decide to do, no shuttle car or paddle-out slog required. Deploy it, sheet in, and it pulls you upwind fast enough to bank the distance before you turn and let the swell do the work, then packs down small enough to stash at arm's length the moment you're done with it. Built around F-One's new Double Dynamic Bridle System, the shape adjusts itself automatically whether you're sheeted in or out, so the power stays predictable through gusts and lulls without you touching a thing.

  • Downwind foiling and pocket-wing touring
  • Single-skin Porcher canopy with mini-ribs and D-ribs
  • Double Dynamic bridle system, self-adjusts sheeted in or out
  • Strong upwind pull, wide wind range per size
  • Stash handle for quick depower and pack-down
  • For Intermediate to advanced riders

Performance & Feel

F-One rates the Frigate V2 strongest on low-end power and upwind ability, and that's where it earns its keep: get moving with minimal effort, then hold a genuinely efficient upwind line so you're spending your session going down the coastline. The dynamic bridle system is doing the work. It's a pulley-free setup that shifts tension automatically between the sheeted-in and sheeted-out positions, so the canopy keeps its shape and stays taut which translates directly into upwind speed and a wide wind range per size.

Mini-ribs and D-ribs, taken from designs in paragliding, hold the profile stiffer and reduces the number of bridle lines needed, which keeps things fast to rig and deploy and low on tangle risk. The canopy itself is a single layer of Porcher fabric, chosen for its rigidity and durability, and it stays light enough to relaunch easily even after getting dumped after a crash.

The mono-harness line is a nice detail for longer sessions: a single attachment point for a more direct, precise feel than a two-point line, and you can slide its position on the bar between the A and B lines to soften the pull in strong wind or add power when it's light. Paired with the lightweight carbon vertical bar and its EVA grip, steering stays easy and precise even one-handed, which matters when you're also managing a paddle, a leash, or just holding your line on a long crossing.

This is a specialist tool built for a specific job. F-One pitch it at intermediate to advanced riders already comfortable on foil and looking to add efficient downwind touring to their sessions, rather than as a first parawing for learning on.

Key Features

  • Double Dynamic Bridle System: pulley-free, self-adjusting tension between sheeted-in and sheeted-out positions for less creasing, better upwind performance and a wider wind range
  • Mini-Ribs and D-Ribs: paragliding-derived construction that stiffens the profile and reduces the number of bridle lines needed
  • Porcher Single-Skin Canopy: rigid, durable fabric that stays light and easy to relaunch even after being in the water
  • LIROS Bridles: abrasion-resistant, low-stretch lines for reliability and a reduced risk of tangling
  • Stash Handle: depowers and stows the wing in one motion, ready to pack away or deploy again at arm's length
  • Mono-Harness Line: single attachment point for direct, precise steering, adjustable between the A and B lines to tune power to the conditions
  • Lightweight Carbon Vertical Bar: EVA grip for comfortable, precise one-handed steering
