Performance & Feel

The reworked, reduced-wingspan shape is what sets the Swing apart from a standard freeride wing. It's lighter overall, easier to pump up onto foil, and held with your arms lower, which suits smaller riders and takes the edge off fatigue deep into a session. That lower arm position also means less swing weight to manage through direction changes, which matters more in waves than almost anywhere else. The forward traction the wing generates means your first pump converts into takeoff.

Behind that manoeuvrability, the Sweep Control Panel in HITEX 178g reinforces the front of the leading edge and controls rearward deformation, keeping the trailing edge taut and the wings shape consistent as you load it up. A radial cut and longer Load Diffuser spread tension more evenly across the canopy, which keeps things stable and helps the wing hold its performance over time. The Reactor Valve gives fast, high-flow inflation and deflation, and strap positions are set so a single F-One boom fits multiple sizes and models across the wing range.

In the waves, the Swing's low swing weight lets you push it out of the way quickly through turns, and it sits genuinely neutral when flagged out, so you're reading the swell rather than managing your wing. Upwind the wing holds well too, useful for getting back to the surf or starting a downwind run. It's forgiving enough for a confident beginner to grow into and specialised enough that advanced foilers reach for it as their dedicated wave and freefly wing.
