Performance & Feel

Ride it and you'd never guess it is a split board. The Trip handles like a regular freeride twintip, with easy pop and soft, stable landings. Credit goes to the PU S-connector holding the two halves together which is S-shaped in profile which spreads load evenly across the join rather than concentrating stress at a single point.  Two rail-to-rail fastener pins lock everything rigid. Paired with a paulownia wood core that runs the full length of the board, the ride stays consistent from tip to tip.

The asymmetrical outline carries that same freeride character through into the shape. A rounded, shorter toeside edge adds comfort and control through toeside turns, for a genuinely lively carving feel. The single concave keeps the ride smooth and landings stable, while channels through the tips add grip when you're powering through a turn or loading up for a jump.

Getting it apart and back together takes seconds and no tools. Slot the PU connector between the two halves, line up the fastener pins, and it's rigid and ready. The FIREFIN system works the same way: fins click on and off by hand, no tools needed, making them quick to remove before you pack up. The whole board, pads and fins included, packs down small enough for a normal suitcase rather than an oversized sports bag.
