The Double_flap back zip is great for youngsters as it opens wider than a standard zip, so there's no wrestling to get the suit on. Once it's done up, the Water Gate Plus flush guard, an internal neoprene barrier behind the zip, stops water flushing straight in. GBS seams give this suit a tighter seal than a flatlock-stitched shorty, which matters at 5/4mm where the suit is doing more work to keep the cold out. Full Flex paneling gives room to move through the shoulders. It's a suit built for colder sessions with the sort of everyday toughness you need for a youngster.
