Performance & Feel

The Atmos sits towards the top of North's twintip range and it's the sweet spot for most riders chasing big air. The Triaxial Hybrid Carbon layup uses 0 and ±45° fibres with 3DY Carbon unidirectional tape running the load paths from bindings to edge. That means the board is properly stiff where stiffness matters for pop and upwind drive, while staying more forgiving underfoot than a stiffer full-carbon construction. If your sessions involve boosting hard and landing in conditions that aren't always perfect, that forgiveness is a meaningful thing.

The bottom shape does the softening your landing work. The double concave breaks the water's surface tension on touchdown, feeding into a deep-V centre spine that spreads the impact smoothly. Edge channels outside the concave keep grip locked in. Progressive medium rocker with pulled-in tips planes early and stays composed when the wind builds, and the medium-high outline curve carves cleanly through turns without hunting on edge.

One feature worth noting: FlipTech inserts are in line which lets you flip the board and remount your bindings the other way around effectively doubling the life of the edges. Practical, and a genuine differentiator for a board you're likely to ride hard.
