Performance & Feel

The single strut design is what defines the Ozone Alpha and the V2's Continuous Curve Leading Edge is what sets it apart from older single strut designs. Instead of straight leading edge segments joined at angles, each segment curves to form one smooth arc from tip to tip, working alongside Transverse Canopy Shaping to keep the airflow clean over the kite. Less drag and a cleaner airflow translate into a genuine lift-to-drag improvement, which you feel most in light wind, where the Alpha gets going and keeps driving when a heavier kite would struggle.

That low-end performance is what makes the Alpha such a strong foiling choice. The power-to-depower stroke is progressive and smooth, giving the kind of gentle, controllable lift and pull that suits transitions and jibes on a foil board, and in stronger wind a smaller size keeps it fun for carving swells and drifting through the water. On a twin tip, the Alpha has more jumping and looping in it than its lightweight billing suggests, with smooth lift and genuine hangtime.

Variable Bridle Geometry gives you two settings without swapping lines. The freeride setting balances the bridle forward for all-round riding, foiling and wave riding, while the second setting shifts towards the tips for a little more bar pressure and feedback, suited to riding onshore waves. Well, the Alpha isn't a dedicated wave kite in the way like the Rio, it drifts well and sits back further in the win window and gives a direct, responsive feel that lets you put it exactly where you need it.

Being single strut, the Alpha packs down into a genuinely small, light bundle, and it comes with its own lightweight compressor bag as standard, built for travel and everyday protection.
