Ozone Compact Bar V5

The Ozone Compact Bar V5 is the short throw control bar from Ozone. Some other brands refer to their compact bars as "shorty bars." Designed for those with short arm reach, like youngsters and female kiters and like the V5 Contact bar is built around the Click-In Loop quick release for a system that feels as familiar to use as a seatbelt: push away to release, click back in to reload. The pigtails are now fully removable, so the bar isn't locked to just flying Ozone kites and will run with any 4 line kite from another brand.

Performance & Feel

The Click-In Loop is now becoming the industry standard. Push away to flag out, and a self-positioning mechanism in the QR means reloading is a single, intuitive click. The release cover sits comfortably in the hands. Like the V4 bar and the standard V5 Contact bar this has a thicker feel to the grip.  Now with colour-coded EVA matching the leader lines makes identifying left and right simpler.

Built to last, the CNC-cut aluminium centre piece and PU-coated depower line resists wear as you sheet in and out, and the Clamcleat trim system holds its setting reliably through a session. Soft EVA bar ends stay buoyant for an easy relaunch grab. The lines are now Bio-based Dyneema, matching the performance of conventional Dyneema with a far lower carbon footprint.

One big change over the V4 bar is that the pigtails can now be removed and swapped so the bar will now fly any four-line kite from any other brand.
