The Edge VT Ultra-X starts from the same refined-arc planform as the standard VT, but swaps the leading edge and struts for a full Aluula frame. Aluula is a stiffer, lighter aerospace-grade material that lets Ozone reduce the leading edge diameter down by 5%. The combination of less weight and more rigidity is what defines how the Ultra-X flies. It holds its shape under load even harder than the standard Edge VT, so the kite stays locked into its design shape through the most demanding sessions rather than flexing and losing efficiency.

That extra stiffness translates directly into feel. Acceleration is faster, glide is longer and steering response is tighter, so the kite reacts to your input the instant you ask it to. The 16-point bridle system carried over from the VT spreads load evenly across the leading edge, giving a solid, predictable feel in the air even as the frame itself gets lighter and stiffer underneath it. Bar feedback stays direct throughout, so you always know exactly where the kite is, whether you're threading a technical line or mid-rotation on a megaloop.

Where the Ultra-X really sets itself apart is at the extremes. In light wind, the reduced weight keeps the kite driving forward and boosting big without the grunt a heavier frame would need and in strong wind, that same stiffness keeps the canopy locked and controllable when a standard Dacron leading edge would start to flex and lose its edge.
