Ozone Enduro V5 Kite

The Ozone Enduro V5 keeps everything that's made the Enduro one of Ozone's most popular kites, an all-round do-it-all machine that never asks you to compromise on style or conditions, but now leans further into extra lift and hangtime. Some of the most effective design features from the Vortex big air project have made their way across, including a new 16-point bridle connection, so the V5 delivers genuinely explosive jumping performance while staying every bit as accessible as the Enduro name promises.

  • All-round freeride, freestyle and wave riding, now with extra lift and hangtime
  • 16-point Vortex-inspired bridle connection
  • Revised shape with less arc through the centre section, for enhanced jump and float
  • Three-stage Variable Bridle Geometry: freeride/big air, wave/foil and freestyle settings
  • Intermediate to advanced riders

Performance & Feel

The V5 carries over the Continuous Curve Leading Edge construction that came in with the V4, keeping each leading edge segment curved into one smooth arc from tip to tip for a cleaner airfoil and less turbulent airflow. What's new is the 16-point bridle connection, brought across from the Vortex big air project, along with a revised sail tension that together sharpen up feedback and turn the Enduro into a genuinely more explosive jumping kite without losing any of its accessibility. A revised shape with less arc through the centre section is what makes the biggest difference in the air, dramatically enhancing jump height and float.

That extra tension and refined shape also bring the bar pressure down. Steering forces are lighter throughout, so longer, heavily powered sessions feel less like hard work, and the kite's tendency to sit further forward in the wind window makes upwind riding effortless with minimal lateral pull. It's a rock-solid, stable airframe with minimal bouncing, and while it borrows plenty from the Vortex, this isn't a tuned-down version of it: the Enduro V5 sits on its own as a phenomenal all-round kite in its own right.

Three-stage Variable Bridle Geometry carries over as the Enduro's signature trick, letting you switch between freeride/big air, wave/foil and freestyle settings by simply moving the pigtail to a different position, no extra lines needed. The freeride/big air setting sits in the middle as the ideal all-round balance for most riding. Move to wave/foil and the kite sits further forward in the window with less pull, so you can carve lines through the surf with better drift. Shift to freestyle and the kite sits further back, producing constant power and giving you the slack after the pop you need for tricks. Whichever setting you're on, kite loops turn quickly and easily on their axis before accelerating straight into the climb, and the clean forward drive and balanced feel carry that same confidence through into unhooked freestyle too.

Key Features

  • Continuous Curve Leading Edge: curved leading edge segments form a smooth arc tip to tip, reducing drag for cleaner, more efficient airflow
  • Transverse Sail Shaping: an additional seam close to the leading edge for more true 3D shaping and a cleaner area of lift
  • 16-point bridle connection: Vortex-inspired design for extreme stability and sharper feedback
  • Revised shape, less arc through the centre section: dramatically enhanced jump height and float compared to the V4
  • Three-stage Variable Bridle Geometry: quick-change freeride/big air, wave/foil and freestyle settings
  • Overlap Flat Seam construction: improves sail control for an overall cleaner canopy
  • Teijin TechnoForce Triple Ripstop canopy and Dacron: strong, durable construction on the canopy, leading edge and struts
  • Fast Flow One-Pump inflation system: single-point inflation and deflation with a high airflow rate between struts and leading edge
  • No pulleys: genuine, direct feel through the bar
