Ozone Flux V2 Ultra-X Wing

The Ozone Flux V2 Ultra-X takes everything the Flux V2 did well and pushes it further, swapping the Teijin Dacron airframe for an all Aluula construction making the whole wing around 20% lighter on average than the standard Dacron Flux V2.  The thinner leading edge and strut cut drag translating into supercharged upwind performance, faster top-end speed and a wing that stays comfortable and controlled across a genuinely wide wind range.

  • High-performance freeride: speed, upwind angle, wind range
  • Aluula airframe, around 20% lighter than the Flux V2
  • Thinner leading edge and strut for reduced drag
  • Extended EVA-covered carbon handles, borrowed from the Flow
  • Featherlight, balanced, powerfully tuned handling
  • Intermediate to advanced riders

Our Test Team Thoughts

"We liked the way the Flux V2 flew, and the V2 Ultra-X takes that up a notch. It's around 20% lighter than the standard Flux V2, and that translates to more speed, an easier fly overhead, and rock-solid stability on flag out. There's more in the tank for jumping too, and maybe throwing your first rotations. We really like the way it feels in hand and the way it performs."

Performance & Feel

The Flux V2 and Flux V2 Ultra-X share the same core DNA in their outline canopy layout, but they both have the benefit of two years of refinement in shaping and canopy tension management since the original Flux V1. Where the Flux V2 and the Ultra-X part ways, is in the materials used. The Ultra-X swaps Teijin Dacron for Aluula, a composite material which is significantly stiffer and lighter than Dacron, which allows for a thinner leading edge and strut which boosts aerodynamic efficiency.  The Flux V2 Ultra-X is a wing built for riders chasing the outright pinnacle of freeriding

The EVA-covered carbon handles have ergonomic grip bumps front and back and a stiffer leading edge handle delivers high levels of control when the wing is flagged out. A taut trailing edge and anti-flap battens keep the airflow across the canopy composed at high speed. The wing is responsive and lifty through overhead manoeuvres, and a larger, repositioned window gives you a clearer view of who's around you on the water.

The wing feels featherlight and inspiringly balanced, with real acceleration and direct feedback. It rides faster and goes higher upwind It's designed for use by intermediate to advanced riders who already have their freeride fundamentals dialled and want the best tool Ozone currently makes in the freeride category.

Key Features
