The Reflex borrows its shape and its highly tuned 16-point bridle system straight from the Ozone Vortex, and that inheritance is obvious the moment you fly it: the same instinctive, responsive character, just delivered through a more forgiving airframe. Where the Vortex runs a super stiff Aluula airframe to keep maximum kiteform, the Reflex uses Ozone's durable Teijin Triple Ripstop Dacron, a thicker material that flexes and twists a little more under load. That less rigid airframe gives the Reflex its softer, more playful ride, and it's also naturally more resistant to abrasion.

The ability of Dacron to twist under load lets the Reflex pull a tighter turning radius through a kite loop than a stiffer kite would manage, so loops come around fast and feel genuinely learnable rather than something to work up to. Bar pressure sits on the light to medium side throughout, and the whole kite feels balanced in a way that makes ripping around at speed feel easy rather than demanding.

Where the Reflex earns its freeride billing is when jumping, it boosts fast and instinctive, hangtime is properly addictive and the kite carries a slightly lower aspect ratio than the Vortex, trading a touch of top-end speed for more usable low-end power. That balance of accessible handling and genuine big air performance is what makes the Reflex such a natural crossover too.
