Performance & Feel

The Monobloc sits at the centre of the depower system, running the flag-out line and depower line through twin cavities so both untwist automatically as you ride. That auto-swivel action stays even when you're steering and depowering at the same time and it carries through to the quick release too. Both the front lines and the flag line rotate freely, so there's no line tension resistance you if you ever need to eject the kite. 

The SK99 Dyneema lines are thinner than standard Dyneema, but have 20% more strength and 30% more resistance to wear and chafing.  A stitchless splice keeps the lines easier to untangle. Less material through the air means less drag, which gives you a tighter, more direct steering response and a kite that comes round quicker in a loop. Bar length adjusts between 43cm and 49cm without tools.  Pull the adjuster out and rotate. While doing this you can also reach the leader line trim knots to alter back line length if required. The floats at each end keep a connected feel with the kite and stop the lines wrapping round the bar during a relaunch, with a textured finish for extra grip if you need to pull the steering lines in further. For riders with a shorter reach, the DreamStick X is also available in a Shorty option, which has a shorter bar throw without giving up any depower range.
