Briefed by Kevin, Reedin designer Damien Girardin brought in Brainchild's Ralf Grösel to build the MasterModel as a dedicated big air jumping kite with sheet-and-go power, built for boosting high and landing soft. It's Reedin's first five-strut kite, and getting things right meant starting with minimising the number of leading edge and canopy segments to keep the extra structure from adding weight, rather than just leaning on lighter material to compensate.

The result is the lightest five-strut kite on the market, built around a high aspect ratio and a flatter arc than the rest of the range. That shape is what generates the kite's signature second lift: the extra surge that kicks in on the way down from a jump and stretches hangtime out well past what a normal arc would give you. PROWELD welds the leading edge segments together rather than stitching them, so the whole edge behaves as one piece under load, and a Crossmixed Canopy pairs a stiffer Hardflyte centre for lift with a softer wingtip material for turning. A fixed 12-point bridle holds it all together.

On the water it behaves exactly as intended: pull the bar and the lift is immediate, the glide on the way up and the second lift on the way down give you real hangtime without needing to steer for it, and landings come down soft rather than dropping you. The five struts and PROWELD construction keep the canopy locked in shape through gusts and strong winds. The kite turns fast, which is what separates it from a kite that's just built to fly high and glide, and you get the height without giving up control on the way down.
