Reedin SuperModel 2025 Kite

The Reedin SuperModel 2025 Kite is the latest version of Reedin's signature all-rounder, and this year the update runs deeper than a spec bump. The bridle system has gone pulley-less, the frame's now on its third generation of Hybrid Torsion construction, and the changes add up to a kite that's noticeably lighter on the bar and quicker to respond. Cruise it on a flat day, boost big when it's windy, chase waves or head out on the foil: the SuperModel keeps doing what it's always done, just with a sharper edge.

  • All-round freeride, big air, waves, freestyle and foil crossover
  • HTF3 Hybrid Torsion Frame construction
  • Pulley-less bridle system with reworked fixing points
  • Lighter, more direct bar feel
  • Faster turning, confident kiteloop catches
  • Suits all rider levels

Our Test Team Thoughts

"We have been flying Reedin SuperModel kites since back in 2020 and have flown all the variations since then. Each new model has given improvement and in the 2025 kite, that is the feedback of directness which seems to be a lot down to the pully-less bridles which makes the kite feel more responsive. Love this version!"

Performance & Feel

The SuperModel remains Reedin's do-it-all platform, and for 2025 Damien Girardin took the frame, bridles and canopy panels back to the drawing board rather than just tweak the previous version. The result is a kite that feels noticeably lighter and more direct through the bar, with less bar pressure needed to feel exactly what the kite is doing.

HTF3, the third generation of Reedin's Hybrid Torsion Frame, lengthens the FlexLite segment in the leading edge so more of the tips are free to twist while the centre stays stiff and holds its shape. The bridles have also been revised and re worked.  It's now pulley-less, relying on a new geometry to deliver the same depower range. The new bridle lines are thinner but stronger for a quicker, more direct connection between bar and kite. The pigtail connections have been moved further back too, adding leverage and sharpening the steering through the bar.

New Trailing Edge stiffeners reduce drag through turns and an updated, straighter trailing edge shape has allowed for shorter struts and a smaller overall surface area, both of which trim weight without giving anything up in durability. Through a loop, the pull stays consistent and keeps building as the kite accelerates round the turn, so the catch comes early and predictably rather than needing to be timed. It's the kind of kite that suits a rider building confidence with their first loops just as well as one already deep into technical variations.

Key Features

  • HTF3 Hybrid Torsion Frame: third-generation construction with an extended FlexLite segment in the leading edge for faster, more direct turning
  • Pulley-less bridle system: new geometry delivers the same depower range without a pulley, for a lighter and more direct bar feel
  • Reworked bridle lines: stronger but thinner than before, for quicker response between bar and kite
  • Repositioned pigtail connections: moved further back for added leverage and sharper bar feedback
  • Trailing Edge stiffeners: reduce drag through the turn for a faster, cleaner loop
  • Updated trailing edge shape: straighter profile allows shorter struts and a smaller surface area, trimming weight without compromising durability
